The rooms are comfortable, as is the lounge. The shower is great and nice shower towels too. Remember it is self catering, so things like shampoo and bath soap are required, as is more than 1 toilet roll if you are staying several days. "We stayed here for a couple of nights on a short tour of the Jurassic Coast. The location is spectacular and you can almost step out onto the beach. There is a lovely bay window which you can sit in and watch the world go by listening to the sound of the waves. If only this had been a nice padded seat, I might not have wanted to leave. Parking is a bit of a problem in Lyme Regis but there was no noise from the restaurants below, which I thought might be a problem"

"We had a nice stay at The Dolphin breakfast and evening meal very good. We were in a “ deluxe “ room, and yes the bed was lovely and comfortable and the room pleasant, however the bathroom was very small with nowhere to put anything except the floor and not even a hook on the door. The biggest problem was the sink, which was a tiny hand wash one."
