I stayed 3 days at St. Lorenz. The hotel is a bit north of the city center. It is a bit of a no frills place. I got a decent sized room that did not have a real window, only an opening onto the fire escape stairs, it was basically as if there was no window at all, because the window was tapped shut. Room smelled as if it had previously been used for smoking. There was an air condition, but I did not get the remote for it. Almost no English spoken here. Staff were not overly motivated, apart from one guy who also served the breakfast and had spoke some English. Breakfast is in the typical Italian-sweet-style, so crossaints and coffee, and some packaged foods. Wifi was spotty, water pressure was in typical Italian tradition (rather on the lower pressure side). Overall cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Eccezionale rapporto qualità/prezzo

È la seconda volta che alloggio in questo buon 2 stelle,a 5 minuti dal centro storico e dal Teatro Valli, ed ancora una volta mi sorprende per l'eccezionale rapporto qualità/prezzo: camera e bagno spaziosi, con comodo letto matrimoniale uso singolo, buona colazione continentale,ascensore, reception sempre aperta.....a 40 euro!!! Mio punto fisso a Reggio Emilia!!!

die gebuchte und bestätigte Zimmerreservierung lag dem Hotel nicht vor - wir haben nach 10 Stunden Autofahrt uns abends nach 21.00 uhr ein neues Hotel suchen müssen - ohne Worte - haben wir noch nie erlebt- den Herrn. an der Rezeption hat es nicht gestört - er konnte sich auch nicht vorstellen, für uns ein anderes Hotel zu suchen usw.

La zona in cui si trova l'hotel, purtroppo, di sera è piuttosto degradata e frequentata da individui poco raccomandabili; detto questo l'accoglienza è stata buona e cortese, la colazione bona e variegata. La stanza era pulita, un pò fatiscente ma tutto sommato comoda.

A decent gem for the money

The people were very kind and helpful. There is little to no English but they used a translator app to communicate. The room is very basic with no extras, hair dryer, hot water pot, cups etc. However, it was clean, bed was comfortable and the cost is very good value. The place is in a local area which is still close to the city center (10 minute walk) where more action is for tourist. The breakfast has lots of pastries and drinks made to order. This is a nice way to start each day.

Competitivo

A parte il difficoltoso check-in( non si trovava la mia prenotazione e l'hotel era al completo)non posso che dire bene del Saint Lorenz: a due passi dal centro e dal bus per la stazione av,camera spaziosa con ottimo letto,bagno piccolino ma completo,buona colazione,prezzo assai competitivo.Da sottolineare la cortesia e la sollecitudine della reception nel cercare di risolvere il problema del check-in.

Für eine Nacht ok

Ich war für eine Nacht zum Fußball dort. Dafür vollkommend ausreichend. Allerdings hatte mein Zimmer 13 kein Fenster, was für mich gar nicht geht! Habe sehr schlecht geschlafen, trotz hervorragender Matratze. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und auch mitten in der Nacht gab es noch was zu trinken. Frühstück typisch italienisch, aber frisch.
