Very nice hotel, clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to the beach, nice indoor pool as well as outdoor pool. Very well maintained, we really enjoyed our stay!

We had a decent stay. Did not feel like a 5 start property. Breakfast buffet was average ans stayed exactly the same for all 5 days we atayed there. Front desk staff was nice but room service and restaurant service was a hit or miss. Location is very good, central and close to nicr beaches.

This was truly a great experience. Everything was as I pictured from the photos online. The Hotel was extremely clean with a very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was over the top! If you are visiting the island, the Hotel Verde Mar is the place to stay!!!!!

Sao Miguel is small enough that you can choose one accommodation centrally located and drive the whole island. Verde Mar and Spa offers ocean views overlooking a beautiful surf beach. Included breakfast is great and in house dining is convenient after a day of touring the island. Ribeira Grande is quaint without the urban cluster of P. Delgado. The 20 minute drive to the north side of the island is certainly worth it.

The hotel is set in a lovely position over looking the sea, but the “back end of town” feel at the front of the hotel is slightly disappointing. Most things in the town are in easy reach to walk, the hotel has an excellent pool and indoor pool/spa area, the food is very good. Shame there is no music in the evenings. Overall a place we would return to.

Beautiful pool and terrace. Helpful staff. Our suite was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the ocean view balcony. Our kids loved the games room and both pools. Breakfast was very enjoyable with lots of options. Highly recommend.

We stayed in a jr King suite. The view was spectacular and the room was spacious with all the amenities. Robes and slippers were provided for the spa/pools. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant bar food was great and the morning buffet was exceptional. There is a supermarket across the road and the location is perfect for day tripping to all parts of the island. Thank you to the staff for a lovely stay:)

The hotel was beautiful, clean, modern and the staff were excellent. The staff were very helpful in planning day trips and making recommendations and even bookings for us. Th restaurant had delicious food with a different catch of the day every day and could easily accommodate my celiac diet. The views were stunning and it was wonderful to hear the ocean while eating at the restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was good and had plenty of variety albeit the same everyday. Spa was nice with sauna and steam. One complaint would be the indoor pool attached to spa would allow kids so it wasn’t ultra peaceful After a massage… Room nice with ocean view regularly cleaned.

The room we stayed in was an unusual floor plan. Everything was very sparse. Both bathroom doors had to be slammed to get them to remain closed. Had very few amenities for what was called “a five-star hotel”. Had to continually ask for towels, tissue, and toilet paper. Disappointing. However, the concierge staff was helpful in activity planning.

Never sure what to expect. This place was excellent. A five minute stroll to the beach. The hotel is pretty central to everything. 10-15 minute drive to the south side. Room was excellent, bed was comfortable. Beautiful view from the room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Made for a very relaxing stay
