RioDowntown Hub by RNC Flats"The apartment is nicely designed, comfortable, and had all the amenities needed. I also felt very safe, the facial recognition system of security "

StayHome Beira-Mar Copacabana Posto 6
StayHome Beira-Mar Copacabana Posto 6"The location is great, directly across the street from the beach, and the hosts were very responsive. They sent a technician twice to address the hot water issue, although it was never fully resolved. This place is not really suitable for five people unless you're comfortable being very cramped. The double sofa bed felt like sleeping on plywood, and the twin bed was simply a mattress on the floor. The hot water was unreliable and depended on the pilot light staying lit, so showers were hit or...

Lobie Bueno Studios Lifestyle"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Clean and tidy room with the necessities for a comfortable stay. The added convenience of the on site self service shop for drinks/snacks etc was a nice touch. Check-in was simple and easy. Would recommend."

StayHome Ipanema Comfort 1min to Beach
StayHome Ipanema Comfort 1min to Beach"Got to stay here to enjoy the Ipanema side of Rio de Janeiro. Check in wasn’t very intuitive and there was not a 24 hour staff available for security. I found myself stuck on the inside of the apartment for some time trying to figure out how to leave the building. There were so many mosquitos within the stay that make nights sleepless - there’s a window in the kitchen that is continuously open that make nights restless. The door to the bedroom does not stay closed so I would have to lock myself...

Rio Habitat Copacabana Posto 2"A little dated. The furniture is a little old and overall needs updating. Kitchen wasn’t all that clean. Hot water and a/c worked. Kinda noisy from the street. But convenient location. "

Charlie On The Sea Arpoador
Charlie On The Sea Arpoador"Very noisy . We could hear everything in the rooms next to us . Check in amd communication is only through internet . The people at the desk do not work for the hotel and can’t help you . When we arrived there was no toilet paper and AC remote was not working . We had to wait the next day to have that fixed ."

Elohim Residencial
Elohim Residencial"Room was really clean. The setup is a bit off but you get more than what you pay for especially in this area"

Where to stay in Rio de Janeiro

Copacabana
Copacabana dazzles visitors with its iconic 4km crescent beach and vibrant atmosphere. Black-and-white wave-patterned pavements run along Avenida Atlântica where locals and tourists alike gather. Sugar Loaf Mountain creates a dramatic backdrop for beach volleyball courts and outdoor fitness zones. The area buzzes with energy from beachfront churrascarias and lively bars. Visit Copacabana Fort for a taste of history or stroll to nearby metro stations for city exploration. Rio's famous Christ the Redeemer statue is easily accessible from this beloved beach paradise.

Ipanema
Ipanema captures the essence of Rio's carefree spirit along its golden shoreline. Bronzed locals play volleyball as waves crash against Arpoador Rock. The iconic mosaic pavements pulse with joggers while Posto 9 serves as the social heart. The stunning backdrop of Dois Irmãos peaks completes this postcard-perfect scene. High-end boutiques and upscale restaurants line the streets just steps from the sand. The area balances tourist appeal with authentic carioca beach culture. Despite its international fame, Ipanema maintains its Brazilian soul. Metro stations make exploring the rest of Rio convenient and easy.

Leblon
Leblon is one of Rio's most affluent areas, where luxury meets laid-back coastal charm. Golden beaches stretch beneath the iconic Dois Irmãos peaks. The area balances upscale boutiques with authentic Brazilian character. Tree-lined avenues lead to high-end shops and gourmet restaurants in this sophisticated beach district. Less touristy than neighbouring Ipanema, Leblon offers premium experiences with easy metro access. Travellers appreciate its pristine shoreline and refined atmosphere.

Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa crowns Rio's hills with artistic spirit and historic charm. Colourful colonial mansions now house galleries and studios along winding cobblestone streets. The iconic yellow tram rattles past breathtaking city views that stretch to Sugarloaf Mountain. This bohemian enclave feels worlds away from Rio's beaches. Explore the vibrant mosaic of Selarón Steps or find panoramic vistas at Ruins Park. Christ the Redeemer stands nearby, while Largo do Guimarães buzzes with local cafés and weekend music.

Lapa
Lapa is Rio's legendary nightlife district where the iconic Arcos da Lapa aqueduct stands tall above cobblestone streets. Samba beats pour from colourful colonial buildings as locals and visitors dance until dawn. The vibrant Selarón Steps showcase thousands of artistic tiles from around the world. By day, discover the neighborhood's rich history through well-preserved architecture and cultural sites. Visit Circo Voador for performances or simply wander the streets where impromptu music sessions often break out. Despite limited green space, Lapa captures the authentic spirit of Brazilian culture.

Hotel Atlantico Business Centro
"It's a great hotel for the location. Near Cinelandia and Lapa, short ride to several businesses, consulates and Santos Dumont airport. Perfect view of the Sugar Loaf mountain from the rooftop by the pool. Staff was attentive and helped with what they could. However during my stay, the boiler broke down and there was no hot water for several hours into the night, so no hot shower that day. I also was shocked they didn't have a proper business center (with a "business " name and everything). TV only had local channels and awful signal, so couldn't even check/watch some of the World Cup. Wifi was a hit or miss, often only working in the lobby area. 2 elevators and one was under repairs, so 1 elevator for 19 floors, I was using the stairs often. Breakfast was excellent. If they fixed whatever wasn't working during my stay, it's a great hotel."
