Lovely posada close to Santander

Lovely small hotel with a big garden. Service was exceptional and the choice to order dinner to be delivered was fantastic. Really great place for an overnight stay. Great breakfast too.

Personal muy amable, habitación grande y muy limpia, los niños encantados con el jardín, colchoneta para saltar, porterías y gran zona verde, excelentes vistas al jardín desde la sala de desayunos, la única pega es que carece de servicio de comidas y cenas aunque si quieres ponen a tu disposición cubiertos, vasos y todo lo que necesites para cenar en el salón común, ya sea comida traída por tí o la opción que tienen es la de un bar cercano que te lo lleva a la posada, allí tienen cartas con lo que te pueden traer, desde bocadillos, hamburguesas, sándwiches, hasta raciones y platos combinados.

A gem.

What an absolutely wonderful place. The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated incorporating the original stone, bathroom the same. No restaurant as such, but a menu from a local restaurant which arrived at a desired time, or bring your own food and wine which was wonderfully unusual. Restaurant atmosphere with veranda or conservatory tables. Breakfast was help yourself and perfect. Owned and run by the most friendly and helpful family. The garden is enormous and beautifully kempt. We absolutely loved the place. A gem of a find.

Hemos pasado 4 noches en El remanso para visitar Cantabria. Nuestra valoración es estupenda. La habitación cuádruple amplia y muy limpia. El sitio es muy tranquilo y hemos dormido estupendamente, las camas son muy cómodas. El personal muy amable (nos fueron superbien las explicaciones de la zona que nos dio Javier cuando llegamos) y el desayuno correcto.

Sitio recomendable para visitar Cabárceno.

Posada muy buena en su conjunto, lugar relajante, a 20 minutos de Santander. Nos quedamos en ella para ir a Cabárceno, al que llegamos en 10 minutos. Gente amable, desayuno abundante y rico. Tal vez para estancias prolongadas, tiene poca variedad, pero para unos días, está perfecto. Repetiríamos sin problema.

Nice and rural

Very nice and quiet place. well located in the middle of Cambria close to some very pretty villages. Very friendly owner that has several bicycles to lend.

Beautiful rustic and friendly

Javier made us very welcome from arrival, the hotel is in a rural setting but a short journey to/from the A8. The house has been beautifully renovated and the rooms are excellent. The gardens and surroundings are very pleasant. Dinner is on a home delivery service which took some time but was well made and the locally brewed beers were very refreshing. Unfortunately the local dogs and wildlife were somewhat noisy from early hours but overall we had an excellent stay.

Outstanding guesthouse in lovely rural setting

Totally perfect in every way. Incredibly clean, but not sterile. Very comfortable. The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly without being too much (thank you Javi). Nice area for walks (flat or mountainous). Faultless! My stay was to focus on work (online), so I stayed around the guesthouse for three days. Although there are many and varied things to do in this area.

Close to the port of Santander

Great location in the foothills 30 mins from Santander. The staff were very obligiging even playing our choice of music while we sat on the verander and ate. Clean and spacious room shame we only had one evening there but hope to revisit some time in the future.

COMO EN CASA (VALENCIANOS EN EL REMANSO)

Como "reza" el título, estuvimos como en casa. Era nuestra segunda vez en El Remanso y fue inmejorable. Lo mejor, el trato familiar de los dueños, se han convertido en amigos. Las instalaciones estupendas, muy acogedoras, la ubicación un 10, en plena naturaleza te olvidas del mundo, y la comida exquisita. Fue una semana de relax y desconexión total. Lo recomendamos 100%
