"This was my second stay at the hotel. I first visited last summer for leisure, and this time I came to escape the chaos of the city. I stayed for eight nights. The staff were friendly, and my room was clean throughout my stay. The hotel offers several restaurants and a café, along with a new vegan-friendly menu. "We didn’t use all the facilities, but everything you might need was available and it really felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect for the start of our walk, and the beds were very comfortable; exactly what we needed before the kilometres ahead."

"We booked a couple of rooms for a family wedding at a venue close by. Overall, it was excellent value for money and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms were lovely and quiet and the breakfast was great. Very happy. "

"Super friendly staff who were easy to converse with, the inn was well maintained with vintage roots and a splash off modern. The food was excellent. On the listing it does say they have laundry facilities, but after asking it turns out they don’t. So be aware if that is a need. I would surely go back again if I am in the area!"

"Staff could not be more helpful and were always happy & willing to talk to guests. Food in restaurant was exactly what I have come to expect from Shepherd Neame Hotels and Pubs. I had room on 1st floor with access to roof terrace which had an excellent view of Viking Bay and the Sea. I found room very quiet at night with only the sound of the sea to be heard in the background. "
