"I have been to Hilton Southern Pines, NC before and enjoyed. This time I saw a few differences. Towels were SO inadequate for a Hilton hotel. Thin, with threads hanging , just not what you expect from a Hilton. For some reason, our room was not cleaned, bed not made and no fresh towels. The pillows were HORRIBLE, not sure why they changed their pillows but again, not what I would expect from a Hilton hotel. I wasn't there long enough to check out the rest of the hotel, but it did look clean."

"Menu was the usual, but the breakfast lady was a bit stern and not very friendly. The tables are very worn and can use some new ones - sticky to the touch. The beds, mattresses are tired and saggy one bed every time you sat on it, you slid off. Again, furnishings need to be replaced, but rooms are very clean.This is usually out go to place to stay, but thinking next time will try another, sad to say. The late night/overnight woman is very helpful and kind, but it stops with her. Also, was told not to drink water and given 2 water bottles...we had a 5 day stay???!!!"

"The room we were assigned didn't look anything like the photo of the room we booked. We had to be moved to another room in the middle of the night because the toilet overflowed and flooded the bathroom after flushing. The room we were moved to was MUCH NICER than the room we initially were assigned. Not sure why the hotel chose to put us in a substandard room that obviously was not in good condition or renovated when they had other rooms available. Needless to say an extremely uncomfortable and disappointing stay at this property. Buyer beware!!!!"

"Room itself was clean. Besides the abandoned couch and chair tossed outside. Card wouldnt work to let me in the room. Had to get woman to come let me in and her card wouldnt work at first but after multiple times it finally opened. Kinda scared to leave the room due to the fact that I wouldnt be able to get back in. Wont go back. Thats for sure. Was a first time to try red roof inns and from my experience it is the last as well. "

"New, clean, big gym w/24 hour access, wish I had a better coffee pot, it was not a keurig, and a bigger mini fridge, but bed was comfy and shower was big, great size room and very clean. Staff were great. "
