It's a bit hard to give a rating because overall things were fine and I'd recommend staying here, but at the same time we had a horrible night. It's close to Rocky Mount Mills. The room was nice and clean. Check-in was quick and the price was good. The TVs, couch, and bed were all on the small side, but the room itself was large. The property appeared taken care of. However, after we returned back late at night we discovered our air conditioner didn't work. The room was 84 degrees and it was impossible to sleep. We tried calling the front desk but it's only open during certain hours. We opened the windows to try and get fresh air but the back window had no screen so we couldn't leave it open. We decided that watching TV would be a nice distraction, but the TV in the bedroom wouldn't power on. We tried the living room TV, but every channel had so much static that we couldn't actually watch anything. Aside from not being able to sleep because of no AC, there is a fenced in area between the hotel and the road that doesn't appear to be part of the hotel. It's a storage area with an electrified fence and dogs. To get some fresh air we kept the front window open, but we could then hear the dogs barking. The bedroom is in the back so I don't think it would have been an issue if we didn't have the window open to try and cool things off. Overall things were fine, but it made for a miserable stay. I'd say it's fine to stay here, but you better check your AC if it's summer.

Staff was nice but the rooms was very strong smelling of mold. Bathroom sink full of cigarette burns. Room needed, majorly updated, and a deep clean. And a fix things needed to be fixed.

Smoke alarm in bedroom was taken down and never replaced, just the wires were hanging. Toilet seal looked like it had been sandblasted in spots. Sheets had spots on them, not sure what it was. On a positive I called the emergency number because I locked my key in my room and she kindly provided me with a new one
