"Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. "This was a hotel we had passed many times and not gone in as we did not like the look from the road. I unwittingly booked it assuming it was in Richmond north Yorkshire not right on the A66. BIG mistake it was the best stay we have had for a while. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Only thing we did not like was breakfast in our room. The basket delivered to the room was good but you had to eat it on your knee. A small table and chairs in the room would have been better. Still will recommend the hotel to all our friends and family. Great service."
