"This property is in a great location for the historic colonial area of Santo Domingo. We had a rental car and had no problem finding parking the 3 days for our visit. The hotel is right on the pedestrian walkway. The room was great and the staff were wonderful. The breakfast was great too every morning."

"The hotel is literally emblematic, just the history alone makes the stay worth it. All the staff was very friendly, the location couldn’t be better, just keep in mind the guy who built the city, this was he’s house!! The whole zona colonial was very safe and fun many attractions to see. The hotel has a DJ in the pool area for chill not too loud afternoons. Everything about this hotel was amazing. I’ve traveled around the world and this is definitely in my top 10 hotels."

"Excellent value for your money! The place is well located, clean and interesting. It doesn’t have amenities (like bottles of water) but the staff was helpful in telling where you could go buy things. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was delicious."

Most of the staff were super nice and helpful; I only had some issues with the check with the initial receptionist who kept getting upset with me for irrelevant things but it seems she was upset that I knew Spanish and was confronting her for her attitude... other than that the general staff was amazing, rooms were clean and tidy. "This was our third time staying at this property, the prior two times having been good experiences. We adore the staff there, especially three attendants that have worked at the property for decades now. The ownership group seems to be having problems upkeeping the property or just doesn’t have the money to do so. We had several days with no hot water, to the point that our room was changed three times. One of the rooms had a terrible mold smell. On another of the days, water to toilets were...

"La limpieza excelente. Siempre se mantiene todo limpio. El personal muy bueno siempre ayudan en todo lo que esté a su alcance . La ubicación excelente todo queda bien cerca el parque Colón 200 pies . El súper a unos 5 minutos los museos todo y lo mejor las noches con sus luces y restaurantes . Lo recomiendo al 100 es como la 5 vez que voy y esta fui por 15 días lo mejor"
