"This is a really unique place to stay. Our room had these huge windows that opened up to the beach. The staff was absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to help us and see that we had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We would recommend The Palm Bay Club Lodge to anyone who wants the best experience in the Dominican Republic. We definitely will be back. "

"I’m giving this hotel two stars mainly because the beachfront location is beautiful and the staff was genuinely friendly. Unfortunately, friendliness does not always translate into good customer service. We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days, and from day one we had ongoing issues with the air conditioning. It broke down at least twice a day—most often after midnight. We called to report the problem at least six times and requested a room change, but although we were repeatedly told it would be fixed or that we’d be moved, neither ever happened. Until the final day—less than an hour before checkout—there was someone at the room trying to repair it. Hot water was also inconsistent.About half the time, there was no hot water when we tried to shower. Housekeeping was unreliable as well. The room was not cleaned properly, dirty towels were left behind on one occasion, and on another, clean towels weren’t provided at all. When we requested them, it took over two hours to receive replacements. The buffet food was mediocre and repetitive, with little variety from day to day. We tried two à la carte restaurants: the Mediterrenas restaurant was excellent, both in food and service, while the Fusion restaurant had good service but very disappointing food. In conclusion, I would only recommend this hotel if you’re primarily looking for direct access to a beautiful beach and friendly staff. However, if food quality and timely resolution of issues are important to you, this may not be the best"

"The hotel has the potential to be a best in class place. The infrastructure is there but staff should be better trained. There was no water from 3-5 PM in our rooms for 2 days and the person checking us in AT 3:00 should have informed us of that. Instead there is a little note on the table easily missed and we didn’t see until we tried to use the restroom in the room. The restaurant randomly closes on particular days and when I asked why they said they didn’t know. Pretty property and the food at the beach place is good even if expensive. "

"The host Anthony is the sweetest person ever I stayed for 6 days with my sister and we enjoyed everything from the delicious Dominican breakfast to the magical views from the top of the hill. We look forward for our next trip"

"Simply amazing! The check-in staff was great and very helpful, the room was very clean, the bathroom was very clean and spacious. In front of the beach. The hotel has a restaurant and the food was excellent. We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely stay here again. "

"We loved our stay. We were in the large round building with the king bed. It is not on the beach, but the property is quite small so that was not a problem. I loved all of the space. The onsite restaurant is fantastic, but they sometimes (often!) run out of flour for the pizzas. The beach, I think may be my favorite of all time and I travel! It is so long. We never did get around to walking as far as we could go to the left, which would be west, but did go that way a bit. But we did walk to the east or right, and we were able to make it all the way to Playa Bonita in the town of Las Terrenas! Bring water, we were so dehydrated by the time we got back, but so fun to be able to walk that far. And! There were waves for body surfing, or renting a surf board or boogie board. Can't recommend enough!"
