"Found a roach in our room within about 5 minutes of being thetr. Immediately went to the front desk to get a refund on the room wirh the dead roach in hand and even have a photo of said roach as well. The front desk person seemed apologetic but said we had to call expedia for the refund. I was not in the mood to play games so we simply checked out about 10 minutes after being there at that point. We then went to the Radisson in Barranquilla, which is a fantastic hotel and I definitely recommend sraying there. I will wait for the snarky manager comment on this one. But my Girlfriend is colombian and said there was absolutely no point in trying to get my money back because the hotel would make an excuse or lean on some policy in order to not refund me. I'll wait."

"We had the room on the water, the balcony were we were was the highlight. room was so so no hot water, shuts off 10 pm to 6am. didn't go in main building or pool. restaurant very basic, staff tries, but not trained to western standards, always have to repeat order and they still got it wrong usually. 2 choices for breakfast, American or Columbian, bacon or sausage. Prices very reasonable, strong us dollar. extremely isolated, nothing close at all. it was ok for us, but just ok"

"The area is extremely busy and difficult to get around in-car. The room was extremely small and the bed is really firm. Bathroom is very small and no hot water. For one night it was fine. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We felt safe here."
