"I’m from British Columbia, I had booked my stay before I left for my trip. The pictures of the motel were wonderful and the descriptions were very nice, thinking this would be a great place to stay. Upon arrival, the building looked like it was not maintained for years, long grass and weeds have taken over, the parking lot was pot holed and un maintained. The rooms didn’t have air conditioning, the water had a brown tinge and couldn’t be drank. Water was shut off the afternoon of the first day I stayed,, the second morning I departed,, there was no water,, somehow it was shut off during the night,, horrible!!!! Good thing I had bottled water to at least brush my teeth!! There was a huge language barrier with the owners/workers,, just disgusting!!! I should have got at least half of my money back because I would have done better in a tent,,,"
"The staff were cooperative and helpful. Not bad when all the hotels are fully booked during the CME in Timmins. Had to travel 250 odd kms to find a place."
"We always book in to the Leisure Inn when travelling to the Temiskaming Shores area. They changed ownership recently, and the new management is absolutely excellent. We weren't disappointed at our last stay. As always the rooms, entry and main lobby and eating area, are clean, welcoming, and a pleasure to spend time in.
The owner is such a nice and engaging person, we had wonderful talks together.
Also, I guess because we were tired from our long day, we had difficulty figuring out how to use the TV remotes so asked for assistance. When he came to our room, he took his shoes off BEFORE, coming into the room. That speaks to his commitment to cleanliness - and - his respect for his lodgers.
We will certainly be returning to the Leisure Inn."
"The location is amazing and a great view of Lake Temiskaming. I got to swim at the beach in early June and the water was perfect, since it is seperate from Lake Temiskaming, otherwise would have been too cold. It was a highlight to be able to swim at the beach right by the hotel.
The staff is really friendly and they make an enjoyable free breakfast for the guests."
