"The staff was wonderful and the property was beautiful."

"This was a great find! The resort is a little dated, but the amenities are fantastic. The main pool is large, food is solidly good with plenty of options and changes daily, staff is friendly, grounds are well-maintained, and bar tenders will generously make any desired drink variation. And the beach is STUNNING: no waves, white sand with no rocks or seaweed, plenty of umbrellas and chairs, and picture-perfect water. The room was small and basic, but had a large balcony. Even though most of the clientele were package vacationers from the UK, the Palms restaurant delighted me by having multiple Thanksgiving options on the dinner buffet on the holiday. It's not a luxury resort, but it is a fantastic value and I highly recommend it."

"Great little property with fantastic views of English Harbour, It is walkable to supermarket shops and Nelson’s Dockyard and English harbour . At the time we were there , there was renovation work going on so the property was not at its best. The staff are great and extremely welcoming. Their breakfast offering can be improved. Their staff is brilliant excellent and welcoming . A big shout out to Annie, Selwyn and Edgar . They are great .The place could not run without them. "

"The room was very nice (sea view), the staff were all so nice and helpful and the bar tenders were my favorite! Also Myron (the man with the plan in the sand) was so helpful with scheduling activities for us to do while we were down there. "

"From beginning to end we had a wonderful stay at the Verandah for our anniversary. The staff was always friendly, service was great and the food delicious. Plan on returning for sure! thanks to all at the Verandah!"

"Room was great. Diamond amenities and perks were worth it. Had awesome butler service from Chris and Miguela. Hotel is fun. Food wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad. Overall the hotel was beautiful and will definitely go back. Our crew had a blast "

"Staff and amenities were absolutely amazing. The room definitely needed some updating and more lighting. But we are aware they are renovating the resort. The food was good, they switched up the menu for dinner each night at the buffet. Beach was flawless, perfect sand, no rocks, no shells, always calm, not super deep. Pools were great, also cleaned daily. The grounds are meticulously maintained daily. Beach cleaned daily. The night time entertainment was fun, suggest to do a line dancing class so guest can learn the dances. Also, maybe add in some more updated music, lots of oldies but goodies. This was a small resort with not a ton of people, (mid November) Everyone was extremely nice and a true joy to be around. I would have loved to spend more time at the pools, but couldn’t stay away from the beach. We had a flawless time and I can’t wait until I can go back again."
