When we booked this property, we explicitly searched for Holiday Inn Express. The pictures were of the property across the street which is a IHP property. This was a bate and switch. The property was old, dated and derelict. The key system entry to rooms didn’t work. The minimal staff were apologetic and polite however the price charged was not worth the expense and honestly we couldn’t wait to get out of there. Expedia took our reservation as if it was a IHP property and routed it to a different hotel.

Though one is asked at check in to sign an agreement that one won’t smoke (under penalty of $250 if you do) the room clearly smelled of old stale cigarette smoke. The breakfast was quite lacking as well. And to the owner(s), you should be ashamed putting people on beds like that. Mine had zero support and felt like I was sinking down to the box spring.

Clean and Quiet

Clean, quiet and good location. The room was spacious and the bathroom had better lighting than some! Just a shower rather than tub/shower would be preferable for us.

They gave away our room to someone else while we were away on the second day. We came back at 10pm and somebody else was sleeping in our hotel room.

Traveler beware

Way overpriced, the room and furniture were dated and in poor condition. We were traveling with a small dog so we were put in a room that smelled strongly of dog urine. Breakfast was terrible, "cooked" food was inedible.

Night before the Abilene Kansas Marathon

It was great as usual...i stayed there as i was getting up early the next morning for the marathon in Abilene Kansas, so i had lights out at 7pm...however, a family a couple rooms down were noisy with kids running the halls...many runners were staying there and we needed our rest..i called the front desk and explained the situation...I guess they took care of it as about 15 minutes later all was quiet for a good nights rest...the staff there were excellent...thank you

Not worth the money

Hotel was barely functioning. Although it was clean. It seems they are building a new one next door, it was clear that they were not caring about the current hotel. Just for reference, the fire detector was hanging from the ceiling, the bed was old and the mattress was anything but firm. I can say that the breakfast was the one saving grace as it did not have fake eggs. There are no restaurants located near and it was at least a 30 minute drive away. But very close to the highway.

Office chair in room was in terrible condition. Covering was all peeling off and was dirty. Certainly did not want to sit on it. No hair dryer in room.Called down to office and they did bring one into the room.No lotion in the room.
