"Le Castel is situated in a great spot to get to if you arrive by train to Bayeux. It is only about 10min . It is located to Vieux Centre ville/ downtown , steps to the Bayeux Cathedral and restaurants. While location was great- our room needed better ventilation ( it was musty smelling) and the carpeting was quite soiled. The room needed updating overall. Our TV did not work, there is no mini fridge and no shampoo/conditioner. Also note- there is no air conditioning. It does have some charm...

"I would have liked to know that the safes in the rooms were not in working order. That was frustrating. The only other complaint was the lack of electrical outlets in the room. Other than that, the hotel, staff, grounds, and staff were lovely. "

"The Chateau is very charming and quaint. The rooms don’t offer air conditioning but they provided fans. Initially the fan we had was blowing heat and the staff couldn’t locate a different one for us so we saw them assembling something at registration and when we returned to our room later there was a brand new, better fan waiting for us. "Hotel is in a great location with nearby parking, restaurants and shops. Breakfast had many choices and the food was exceptional. Room was clean and comfortable. Overall, the staff was great except for one at the front desk who was not helpful when asked about restaurants and reservations."

"Bon accueil dès notre arrivée, personnel agréable. L’hôtel vient de changer d’enseigne et est encore en travaux. Nous avions une chambre familiale rénovée, spacieuse et confortable, mais elle sentait encore la peinture, ce qui n’était pas très agréable. De plus, une prise sur deux ne fonctionnait pas et certaines finitions restaient à faire. Le petit déjeuner n’est pas au niveau attendu pour un 3 étoiles. En revanche, l’hôtel bénéficie d’un bel emplacement et dispose d’un grand parking."

Views from the hotel (room/restaurant) were spectacular. Meals in the restaurant were delicious and wait staff very helpful and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again in a heart beat!"
