The staff is very friendly and the room was clean. I was just at a conference and heard others complain about their chain type of hotel was dirty, sticky carpet and paper thin walls. Convenient walk to the river walk and other things to do. Being able to use the fitness center next store was a plus but it was small.

I have found the hotel I will always stay at in San Antonio. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff whether at the front desk, the tavern, security, valet, etc. were all very friendly and helpful. Very convenient to the river walk, Alamo, shopping, and restaurants. I will be back.

The Crockett hotel is a Charming place. It is well maintained and extremely clean, especially so considering its age. It has fine craftsmenship, and a coffee shop near the elevators. That being said it is outdated. The rooms and elevator are very small. Anyone with bad claustrophobia should avoid taking the elevator. The hotel does not have a pool, fitness center, laundry room, complementary breakfast, or even a microwave in the room. Those are basic things things that are pretty standard these days. Even the La Quinta or the days Inn down the road has these things now. Finally there's the parking. Its 45 dollars a day, to park in the hotel parking lot you've already paid to stay in. In short, its a beautiful historical hotel, but those making the decisions about policy need to be a little more competitive with all the other options within walking distance of this hotel.
