My husband and I stayed here a few days for a little adult get away. We have 2 kids and rarely get us time. Let me start by saying the breakfast was great and the location was convenient. We stayed in the Lilly room and it was nice. The bathroom was a different story. I am 5'4 and medium build. The shower was so small, I could hardly wash my legs! You constantly fight the shower curtain just to rinse your soap off and to shave, you have to stick your leg outside the shower just to have enough room to reach them!!! Also,,,keep in mind, this house is 100 years old. Charming yes. Private no.Every step ANYONE upstairs or down takes is heard in your room. You can close your door, but that does help the sound privacy. I could hear the telephone conversation of the gentlemen in the room just above ours. He was telling his sweetie what he had for dinner. The bed is as squeaky as the floors.Squeak, when you get in. Squeek, when you roll over. Squeek when you get under the covers. Squeek,,,, well I hope you get the picture. This, along with the lack of any type of sound barrier ,there is of course, No adult recreation(if you get what I'm saying). In my case, I wish we stayed in a place with less Charm, but a useable shower and some modern day sound proofing.
