"First of all, ALL of Lima is loud and dirty so expect some kind of a reflection of that fact in any budget hotel in Lima. It is part of the experience. That given and compared to EVERY other hotel I identified in Lima on Expedia or on foot Hotel Maxys Grau was the best value for the cost. Lima is EXPENSIVE too, unlike Colombia that I have more acclimated to. Everything cost more here than in Colombia or Mexico, so expect to pay more for the same luxuries. "I got this room because the pictures looks nice and the room was under $25. I had a 6 hour window between my flight and my morning bus. The room I got was plain and I did not care until I laid down to sleep. The bed smelled like stinky feet. I grabbed a towel to lay on to maybe stop the smell but I also smelled funny.
