The room was great, very spacious. We had the studio king suite. Patio/ balcony was super cute. Carroll was very friendly & helpful as was the young lady who worked the reception & Luis, the security was great, too. Beautiful boutique hotel with the cutest little coffee shop. And the location can’t be beat. I highly recommend Westhouse Boutique Hotel.

Amazing hotel! Comfortable, quiet, cozy and very clean. There was a private deck in the back with tables, chairs, hammock and a fan. The bed was comfortable with fluffy white comforters. There’s a private bar and coffee shop downstairs. It is located in the very heart of San Ignacio and a walking distance from the market. Service was amazing with nice and amazing staff!

This place is absolutely perfect. Room was so clean and spacious. Bathroom was nice with great shower pressure and good soap. AC was on point. There is free filtered water and staff is super friendly and helpful. I love that you can unlock the door with just a passcode.

The perfect place to stay in San Ignacio! You can easily walk to the main streets of town, and it's only a short drive to places like Cahal Pech and Xunantunich. The staff was wonderful, and our room was a crisp, air-conditioned oasis after being out in the sunshine! Our room had a balcony, but there's also a nice shaded sitting area by the bar. Although we felt pretty safe anyways, they do have security after 8pm, which made us feel even better. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel, and I would definitely stay here again if I revisit San Ignacio.

Excellent property. Room was great. Very clean. Hotel staff was really helpful with restaurant recommendations and doing what they could for a late check out. Multiple restaurants within walking distance. Welcome drink was a nice surprise! Calpech was walkable, but would recommend taking a taxi to get there and walk back. The walk to get there was all up hill and it was hot!

We stayed here in October 2025 for four nights. This boutique hotel shares a building with a small coffee shop and bakery, where you can conveniently charge items directly to your room. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of many restaurants and tour operators. The staff was friendly and helpful—especially Carrol, who checked us in. The entire property was exceptionally clean—so much so that I wondered if we were the first guests to stay in our room! The welcome drink was a lovely surprise after a long day of travel, and the bar area was very nice. There’s a water purifier in the shared hallway, which was perfect for filling our reusable bottles. The area was quiet, and it was wonderful to enjoy coffee on our private balcony each morning. Free parking on the premises was another big plus. The only (very minor) downside is that the bakery/coffee shop doesn’t open until 8 a.m., and there aren’t bulk coffee or breakfast options early in the morning. However, there’s a single-cup coffee brewer in the room, and staff are happy to provide extra coffee packets. We’d absolutely stay here again—highly recommend!

Nice hotel in San Ignacio

Very nice stay. Close to many things in town but we had a rental car for farther away tourist spots. Friendly and helpful check in process. Welcome drinks, clean room and seemed very safe. One of the best things is they had a water filter station in the hallway. Was so nice to refill water bottles and not have to buy water every day. Nice large rainfall shower. Nice size tv in the room that you could put your Netflix or Prime accounts in. It’s not a resort with a pool but we throughly enjoyed it. There is no elevator which was fine for us. There was a refrigerator in the room. You did have to turn it on if you were going to use it. Very eco friendly. Would stay here again.

My 5 night stay at the West House was fantastic. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. They were happy to give recommendations or call ahead to set a dinner reservation for you.The room was spotless and the king bed was super comfortable. Water pressure and temperature were great in the shower. They offered a filtered water station out in the hall. This hotel is right on the outskirts of the little pedestrian business area, less than a 5 minute walk. This is as close to a 5 star experience as you can get in San Ignacio without staying at one of the resorts.

Not ADA compliant but good hotel

No elevator. Had to carry all cases up and down. Shower turns cold after first person to shower. Then need to wait 2 hours . Rooms were large, but they should put more seating like small sofa and coffee table. Location is good, in town of San Ignacio. Tiny village.
