Our experience with this Spa started on the first part of our 2 stop flight to Costa Rica with a WhatsApp message from one of the people working there letting us know that our card wasn't going threw - We had already paid threw Expedia and the charge was on our statement so I was VERY confused as to what was happening.
We contacted Expedia who could not get them on the phone. The Spa wanted us to cancel threw Expedia and rebook directly with them with a card. At this point I let them know directly that Expedia was trying to get in touch with them they told me that Expedia was telling them to tell me to cancel and just pay them directly - at the same Expedia was telling me they weren't able to get a hold of anyone at the resort. The Spa also made it clear that if we didn't put a card down to hold the room it wouldn't be available upon out arrival but that if we booked directly they could get us better rates.
It was becoming clear that the Spa was just trying to avoid paying Expedia whatever part of the fee they usually get.
We were ultimately forced to book another hotel during our layover and Expedia told us we had to wait until they get their money back from this place to refund us on that stay.
I think its insane that Expedia still has this location listed on their services with this level of dishonesty and stress that they put on their customers. Keep in mind we were literally on a flight to this destination when the first message came threw. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!
