"Stunning location- you are surrounded by forest and pastures for the horses; very peaceful. The horseback riding is a must do. We rented the family suite and were impressed by the comfort it provided: complete kitchenette, comfortable beds. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, great breakfast, and conversations with Jorge. Him and his team also helped with some car problems. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"Staff were so lovely and welcoming. The activities at the resort were good, we booked a package from their website as we only wanted to do some of the activities and the package they offer at the resort is all of them for $120. They allowed us to split up our activities over two days so we did most of them one day and the hanging bridges before we checked out the next. There aren’t many options for food around the resort and I feel more than 2 nights unless you are driving to do an activity...

"I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. And don't forget about breakfast. Everyday, we had homemade to order...
