"This is a classic, elegant upscale hotel with well maintained, individual cottages each with a spectacular view of Lake Arenal (when the clouds lift). The food is outstanding, both the included breakfast and the ala carte lunch/dinner menu. The service is excellent and staff very helpful and friendly. It rained all 5 days we stayed here. "Such a beautiful place. Our room was outstanding with an outdoor shower and jacuzzi. We could sit on the porch for hours and watch nature. The trail was amazing. The hotel is on a very steep property but carts were readily available to assist. All staff were amazing, pool and pool bar very nice. Good breakfast. "

Enjoyed the hammocks and tables on the beach. The food in the restaurant was absolutely excellent! While the rooms are a bit dated, they are the best in the area, and sufficient. "
