"I honestly choose a resort, but I accidentally choose this area. However, I would recommend for those who are low budget travelers but who are willing to take a break and rest in their amazing hot springs. They do have hiking trail, but it is the best not to go in the midst of rain. You will slip and get yourself all muddy. I learn that that hard way. You can walk around the town, but honestly, there is not too much to see aside from the church and cemenetry. The church had an interestingsaint...

"Amazing villa with 3 bedrooms and many lounge areas. The staff and owners were very accommodating and even brought our breakfast to us, as we weren’t staying on the main property. Very clean, amazing views, and it was all in a private neighborhood. It is very safe in Mindo. Fresh fruit trees are growing in the backyard, and yes, you will see many new animals. This is the perfect place for your “I need to do this” vacation. The jacuzzi and pool table were a nice touch. Perfecto! We will...

Looking for a place in Mindo - stay here! I don’t think we’ve ever come across a more helpful hotel owner and staff. We had to move our booking a couple of times because of illness and that was all AOK. The owner was constantly making sure we had everything we wanted , clean towels for the pool or room, plenty of drink8ng water. Really generous and tasty breakfasts. The hotel is a 10 minute walk out of town and has amazing gardens and a lovely pool. Everywhere is really clean, all the...

This has to be the best hotel in the world. I'll give you 3 reasons: 1. The people The whole team at Mashpi is just incredible, the service is world class and i felt like one of the family from the moment i arrived. Marc and the rest of the team lead and inspire an enthusiastic young team of passionate staff members and it's a privilege to see. 2. The Nature Take the hotel away, and where its built, i could have slept in a tent and i would have been happy. The forest is enchanting. The story...

Rustic place with lots of charm. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot. The couple who run the place are incredible, very kind and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and their laundry service is very good and fast! The location could not be bette! The one thing I would suggest is if you are a light sleeper asks for a room that faces the back as our room faced the street and there was a loud party in front until 6 am which didn’t let us sleep despite our ear plugs. I know the owner...
