"Arrived Tuesday, tired from a long drive from Toledo. Immediately looked after. Room was superb with a great view. Room was very clean, bed was excellent. Food very good. Loved the location of the hotel, after 20 days of travelling around Spain and Portugal this rejuvenated the batteries. An excellent hotel. "

This 17th-century palace, once the residence of the Marqués Velasco, was painstakingly rebuilt and transformed into a boutique hotel. The perfect blend of history, elegance, and natural beauty makes Hotel Pico Velasco a true gem. Its proximity to Santander provides easy access to the city, while its serene surroundings ensure a peaceful retreat. A highlight of our stay was the exceptional culinary experience offered by the hotel's Michelin-starred chef. Please note that this exclusive experience is available by reservation only, so be sure to book in advance. I'm not sure why Hotel Pico Velasco is rated only 3 stars, perhaps due to the lack of a spa or concierge service. However, in my opinion, it deserves a much higher rating. The hotel's charm, character, and exceptional service make it a truly fantastic choice. I highly recommend Hotel Pico Velasco to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable experience. Don't let the 3-star rating fool you – this hotel is a hidden gem!"
