Sandhamn is an island in Stockholm's archipelago, and the last stop before reaching the Baltic Sea. It is accessible by a two and a half hour ferry ride from Stockholm. We used Cinderella Batarna. Sandhamn is a great day tip from Stockholm. We went cycling around the island, had lunch at an outdoor cafe, went to the beach (the water was surprisingly warm), and took the kids mountain biking for their first time. We wandered across this barn (?) while cycling around the island of Sandhamn. This is a great island to see by bike. There are bike rental facilities across from the ferry dock.

Lovely location but let down by service level. Stay there every year, but this year there was a noticeable lack of attention by the staff. Few smiles, long waiting times to be served and an apparent lack of customer attention. Not as it used to be which is a great shame.

Would absolutely recommend this cottage. Compact, but we were 5 (3 kids 2 adults), and never felt like we were on top of each other. Right next to the water and a south facing terrace. We would go back.
