"I really liked this hotel! The facilities are quite comfortable, and I loved that they have a Tesla charger on-site. It wasn't busy, so I was able to use it without any issues and free of charge! It also allows non-Tesla vehicles to charge, though I believe you have to pay for the energy and usage if it's not a Tesla (worth double-checking). The location is great—very close to Solvang, several supermarkets, dining options, and right by the Highway 101 exit and entrance. The staff is extremely friendly, and the lobby has a great selection of snacks and drinks for purchase, much better than what you find at other hotels. The ice machine, washers, and dryers are conveniently located nearby. For a small hotel, the gym is remarkably well-equipped; all the machines are very clean, in perfect condition, and look brand new.
Areas for improvement: I would improve the natural lighting in the room. Even though the door lets in a good amount of light, it’s not quite enough during the day. Conversely, at night, it becomes a source of artificial light that might bother some people when trying to sleep.
However, the biggest downside was the TV cable. The signal kept glitching and looking pixelated; you couldn't watch any program for more than four seconds without interruption. When I asked management, they told me it's a difficult problem to fix because it's not a constant issue but seems to happen randomly. The bottom line is that the TV was completely useless to me."
