Monte Uzulu was amazing! Gorgeous rooms, delicious breakfasts, minutes from the beach, and extremely helpful/accommodation hostess. Be aware that the rooms have no AC and access requires walking up a fair amount of stairs. (But it’s worth it!)

Great aesthetics but lacking in customer service. I communicated with the owner I would be arriving at 8pm and upon arrival no one was on the property to even check me in. I then had to wait approx. 40minutes to get let into my room after a long day of travel. I had also asked about laundry service which was confirmed as an available service at an extra charge (500 pesos minimum load) however no one came around in the morning to collect my laundry as per the instructions in the room. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and their chef was quite lovely. The shower products in the room were top notch (eco friendly, biodegradable) and they also included bug spray and aloe sun gel. However upon check out, out no one was around again and I had to carry all my luggage off of the property which consists of a lot of stairs and pebbled walkways. Also prices fluctuate here so I ended up booking my room for 1500 pesos more via Expedia than their web rate.

This place is amazing, and its view is just wonderful. Imagine waking up to the sound of the waves and also have a very welcoming, helpful and amazing staff. They made my trip an unforgettable one.

This place was amazing. Small hotel with an intimate setting. Great, clean rooms with amazing balconies with fantastic views. You were up in the jungle but could hear the ocean waves from your balcony. Yummy eco-friendly products, amazing massages that the staff arrange to come to you, yoga, etc. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, thoughtful. The food was great--the chef really cared and created beautiful plates. What is not to love about walking to the bay, floating in a very saline ocean watching the sun rise (or set), then walking back to the hotel for an amazing breakfast or dinnerr.

Terrible experiencia, no vayan.

Es un hotel muy caro ya que dicen que está al lado del mar es mentira, no tiene entrada al hotel tienes que caminar como 100 mts, subir a la habitación como en un cerro, con escalones empedrados con piedras sueltas, sin barandales, plantas crecidas con insectos que se pega por todo el cuerpo y te lástima. No hay seguridad en todo el hotel. Sus fotografías son súper engañosas. Bueno sus trabajadores. No me quede ni 12 hrs. Fue una terrible experiencia. No hay luz y en la noche nos atacó un perro que dicen que siempre está ahí, pero no hacen nada para cuidar a sus huéspedes. La peor experiencia que he vivido en un hotel. Lo peor es que saben lo qué pasa y al parecer no les importa. Espero que arreglen esto, tampoco tienen estacionamiento. 😡

Amazing hotel

Really amazing, stylish hotel just a few minutes walks from San Agustinillo beach. The room opens up to a private patio with a pretty lush view. Service staff were all very friendly, and the food at the restaurant was great. One thing to keep in mind is that there's no bathroom door.

Hotel was very nicely design, stuff was friendly except general manager who was super unfriendly. I had to remind her im a guest noty intruder. At this price you should treat your consumer a bit better...escecially because you can get places right on the beach for half price and they will be happy to have you.

The walk up to the place is terrible and it's still under construction. That being said, everything there was amazing. Try requesting to be on the second level though. Also, all of their soaps/shampoos/etc smell amazing and the design of the place is gorgeous. Also the woman working the front desk was more than extremely helpful.
