This hotel had the nicest staff I have ever encountered. They greeted us with a cold drink upon arrival and always anticipated our needs. Breakfast was always good and the pool was so refreshing in the warm weather.

Wonderful boutique stay!

Great location, clean, comfortable, great value for money. Lovely pool overlooking the square in central Santa Marta which was great in the midday sun! Staff were excellent and the breakfast was plentiful! We were able to store bags pre and post stay with no problem due to our transfer timings. Would highly recommend and stay here again without a second thought!

I cant say enough good things! I wasnt expecting this hotel to be as amazing as it was. The pool is very good, the spa is excellent, the rooms are great, but most of all the staff are truely excellent people.

Amazing stay in Santa Marta. Placita Viega hotel is located right in the center of town at the parque de los novios. It is a walkable distance away from all of the best restaurants, clubs, and bars. The area is always full of people and very safe. It is also a 5 minute walk from Santa Marta beach.

Que lugar tan maravilloso! La atención de Mario, Fabi, Dianis, Nataly, Olga y Ripol fueron inmejorables. El desayuno es espectacular. El cayeyé es la especialidad del hotel y es una delicia. Gracias a Olga y a la otra señora que lo hacen. Y gracias a Nataly que nos escribió su receta personal. Escogimos este hotel por las facilidades para silla de ruedas. Pero, fuimos muy afortundados de quedarnos en este lugar hermoso con personas amables y pacientes. Volveremos muchas veces mas!

La struttura è speciale. Posizione Top camere arredate con grande gusto, eleganti, sobre, con grande carattere. Il personale educatissimo è super accogliente e rispettoso. Jesus è stato straordinario ci ha aiutato nel risolvere un problema con la compagnia aerea, che per noi sarebbe stato quasi impossibile. Ospitalità eccellente! Don Fernando, il proprietario, è stato adorabile, attentissimo alle esigenze dei clienti, una persona unica, meravigliosa. Mia moglie ed io siamo stati benissimo. Facile da stare difficile da lasciare. Vorremmo essere ancora lì per essere coccolati da tutto lo staff del Placida ! Complimenti. Un hotel boutique a 7 stelle !

This was a great hotel in a perfect spot to enjoy the action of Santa Marta im the evening. But the real bright spot here is Jesus. He is attentive, organized and has a fun personality. We loved it so much we came back for a second night!
