Dated apartment in need of a total refurbishment. Smell of drains constantly in our room coming in through large gaps round the front door. Lots of road noise at night/early morning due to single glazed windows. Some of locks on windows broken.
Good location, for exploring coast and national park.
The views are stunning but if you are walking a lot be warned it is quite hilly and if you are driving the roads are quite windy but apart from that it’s a beautiful area but don’t expect sandy beach it’s a volcanic area and it’s black sand

Hire a car as you get to see so much more.
We live this area so always stay here. Will be returning to the area but felt that El Marques Palace was a bit run down ..needs a refurb. Wont be stating there again
