"The ultimate escape to real luxury with genuinely fine people. I loved the restored 19th-century palace with very spacious and sleek bedrooms that opened up to individual, private patios fronted by lovely gardens and singing birds. The swimming pool was fresh water, and if you got chilly in the spring weather you could jump into the steam room or sauna. Views of the countryside from the terraces were spectacular. The cuisine was very well prepared, a good fusion of traditional Portuguese food...

"The Hotel and Staff were both stunning, everyone from reception to Pool Bar did everything possible to make our short stay extremely enjoyable. Room was spotless, bed very comfortable and a TV with Worldwide coverage (if you cared enough to think of home ), Tea and Coffee making facilities had no milk, this was immediately resolved by staff. Location is excellent, short walk in all directions brings you out at bars and cafes of Olhao."

"Ein traumhaftes Gästehaus in wunderschöner Lage. Schon vom Bett aus konnte ich direkt auf die Salzwiesen blicken. Am ersten Morgen habe ich von der Dachterrasse aus Flamingos gesehen – ein ganz besonderer Moment. Die Natur ist unbeschreiblich schön, die Ruhe einzigartig. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr charmant und auch das Team ist toll – ich habe mich in meinem Zimmer rundum wohlgefühlt. Ich war so begeistert, dass ich direkt wieder gebucht habe."

"I changed rooms to be away from pedestrian noise . Outstanding touches of old and new. Kitchen was adequate for a few at a time. Roof top was the best, tho still in the process of recovery from huge storms they had. Hot water was ok tho it was cloudy a lot . Excellent staff and good location to promedade and to ferries for day trips. 12 mins walk to Rail . Could ask folks to keep their voices down when in the kitchen as it travels easily to other rooms. Seem to be an international thing. Nice...

"This property and entire experience was excellent. The staff at the hotel and restaurant are really extraordinarily good. The food was excellent both for breakfast and at the restaurant. The pool is beautiful and people were using it while we were there even though it was mid April and lovely warm. This is a wonderful find and we look forward to going back. The grounds are beautifully maintained and there is a farm animal area to visit which is lovely and fun!"

"Great hostel, good Central location. 5 minutes walk into the city centre, 2 minutes walk from the nearest bars and restaurants. Clean room, comfortable bed and good communication from the host throughout our stay. If I'm nit picking the only very slight drawback was, the bedroom curtains, weren't full blackout (I'm a very light sleeper) but this was a very small thing, and it probably won't affect most people. I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Recommended. "

"The property is not as presented. The house I stayed in was utilitarian at best. There were no amenities and the pool is off property. That being said, there was hot water and the bed was comfortable. When I checked in the host said “It’s not the Sheraton” and I agree. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it. "

"The busy part and old town of Faro were only a ten minute walk. Avenue 41 was also close to good grocery shops and reataurants. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, even printing our boarding passes. The rooftop terrace was a lovely apot to unwind! Hoghly recommend."

"The room was nice and all the amenities were good. They provide basic breakfast as well which is a bonus. The code for the front door didn’t work, apparently it was changed but other guests let me in. The staff were onsite as well. I tried emailing ahead of time to ask some questions through Expedia but the property never did get back to me. "
