Hotel Riu Guanacaste - All Inclusive

"Yes — those are useful details because they tell people what to expect and what to take advantage of while they’re there. I’d word it like this: I really enjoyed my stay at Riu Guanacaste. The resort is beautiful, and one of my favorite things was seeing the wild monkeys around the property and near the beach. Definitely take advantage of Scuba Caribe on site for excursions, and Nexus Tours also has representatives at the resort who can help with bookings. The food was tolerable, although honestly I didn’t find the food particularly good anywhere I went in Costa Rica. I don’t drink, but my family felt the alcoholic drinks weren’t very good, so that may be something to keep in mind if drinks are important to you. Overall, we had a great stay. It’s a beautiful location and a great base for exploring Guanacaste. I’d stay there again."

"This place was amazing!! My wife and I stayed for 4 days here and honestly my only complaint was the room. We stayed in room 602, the room is small and the shower was horrible since it's a Jacuzzi/shower combo. It was almost impossible to really shower since I'm 6 ft 2. The buffet was the only food option which was so good, the food was fresh and delicious. The bartenders really know how to mix a drink!!!! Caesar was our favorite!!! Since it was off season the resort was very quiet and relaxing. I will definitely be booking here again just not room 602"

"The pool and grounds of the property were gorgeous, and the staff were very friendly and helpful with everything. Nice breakfasts made to order. The economy rooms are a bit basic, we decided to pay a bit more to upgrade to a superior room which was excellent."

"Isabel cleaned our room beautifully and was super professional. We loved Carlos at the main pool, excellent service! The hotel does need to add a lot more fans around the dining areas and the adult pool is extremely hot, may be because the tile is black.. just not a refreshing splash."
