"A lovely traditional house in a typical Cretan village away from the tourist hotspots. Our host spoke good English and was very welcoming and helpful. The bakery sells wonderful trays of Baklava which we enjoyed on our spacious roof terrace, a great place for breakfast too. "

"The owners were amazingly courteous, friendly, and professional. The property was beautiful and clean, and all staff were always willing to help in any way they could. The pool was always refreshing and relaxing, and there was a fully-stocked pool bar for drinks. Meals were served buffet style, and the dining area oversaw the pool. The rooms had either pool view, mountain view, or partial sea view. I would definitely stay here again! <3"
"The bar area of the hotel is really nice and the pool area and it’s on a beautiful beach. The breakfast was excellent and the food we ordered at lunch. The rooms were really nice and big. The Bathroom could be slightly more modern compared to the rooms but it was clean and fine. Would definitely go back to this hotel. "
"An extremely beautiful hotel, built of stone, in the Greek style. Resting here, it is as if you fall into an interesting story. All the staff, especially Helen and Yanis, are very friendly. The food is extremely tasty and varied. Many thanks to the cook. There was always hot water, the rooms were constantly cleaned .We are very satisfied with our vacation at Village Stone. "Great beach resort with restaurants and local shops on your doorstep. The breakfast was varied and good quality. Ideal if you don't intend to travel around, otherwise you'll need a car rental (plenty of free parking). Good quality room size. I'd stay here again."

"I had a short stay at Fodele Beach and had a lovely time, the staff contacted me before I arrived to check me in and arranged a convenient checkout and transport back to the airport, I was very impressed and will book this hotel again."
"The pools were great! The store is wonderful and has all of the necessities and more. The beach is incredible as well! If you choose to go off and explore, there are rental cars and buses very near!
The staff is so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed how we were treated by the staff!
Things we think need to be improved:
Limited kids club hours and it’s not very exciting for children as they often stay in and colour/paint. But the staff is lovely.
The turnover in the dining room is slow and...
"I like the hotel like home. Cozy and yes not so luxury but very friendly ambiance that, silent. One bus to the airport and to city and near the beach for jog or walk. "
"Don’t let initial lack of kerb appeal when arriving put you off. This is a fantastic place to stay. Staff who love their jobs, a chef whose menu draws locals to eat in the evenings, super comfy beds in rooms and on the beach which is also on your doorstep. Highly recommend!"
