"I was met by the owner Passi who was waiting for me. I had booked into one of the apartments but wes told that I was staying in one of the cottages by the lake. Passi took me to the cottage which has its own wood burning sauna and stunning views looking out to Lake Orivesi. It was really peaceful and it has its own private beach and a rowing boat plus a swing which I must admit I spent quite a bit of time on there. The place is charming- an older wooden structure . I felt like I was in an Ibsen play! The room was nice- mini apartment with a kitchenette. The breakfast was very good. The location was convenient to the center and to the castle The price was quite high for this somewhat rustic venue with no elevator. The high caprice was due to the opera festival, but still tooooooi high! Perhaps a Scandic or Sokos would have been more reasonable"

The sauna and pool were very nice and clean. I loved the bright windows for the pool. I had breakfast and supper and both were delicious. A good breakfast spread and the supper menu and service was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel."
