"I stayed here for seven nlghts in a one-month vacation travelling around Switzerland by train. It was a good choice, being only four minutes from the station, which offers direct trains to all corners of the country on the SBB network. I had a nice large corner room with windows on two sides, overlooking the courtyard, not the railway tracks. No noise issues. Breakfast was leisurely, no crowds, and offered a wide choice. Staff were efficient and friendly. I was given a second key-card so that the power could be kept on for air conditioning while I was out. I wish all my hotel stays were this good."

"We started at wonderful Hotel Baeren for two nights, and loved every second! We arrived a little late, and our key was left for us, super convenient to check in. Ample free parking right next to the hotel, close to everything and VERY quiet. The staff was so kind and welcoming. They had a coffee/tea station for us 24/7, with fruit, water and granola bars as well. The breakfast was also incredible. We would highly recommend this hotel. We have no idea why it is only classified as a 3 star, it should be higher. "

"Room was very nice .. just lacked AC like all hotels in Switzerland so was hot even with a small fan and tiny window open. The hotel was very conveniently located and the parking was reasonable (15 chf per night) in a lot nearby. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and very helpful. "

"I like the vicinity to train station and Altstadt shopping and restaurants. The hotel lacks a few safety features in the Bathroom area like unsave bathtub ie could use rubber mats or hand rails. The Bar/Restaurant on street level is excessively noisy (music - low level base) at weekends Friday/Saturday up to 4AM."
