"The only item we did not like was that when taking a bath or shower the water was not hot enough. During a shower the water went completely cold. Probably an easy fix for the property. Everything else was top notch wonderful- breakfast was excellent, staff very nice and accommodating. I am recommending this place to others"

"The boars head normally is a great place to stay. This last visit however, I had some issues. The front desk did their best to take care of everything. The staff was very gracious and very hospitable. The amenities in the room are fantastic and the linens on a scale of one to 10 I would give them an eight. "

"This hotel is fantastic! Gorgeous design, super friendly staff, perfect location, and great connection to the uva community. The rooms were well appointed with super soft robes and towels. The staff went above and beyond to greet us. We also ate at the main restaurant Poplar and the food, decor and service was perfect! "The hotel is beautiful - sleek and chic! Great location and stellar staff. The rooftop bar and restaurant is my favorite place in Charlottesville. (The gluten-free pizza is FANTASTIC!). The rooms are nice, but there was mildew on the shower walls the last 2 times we stayed there. The gym has some broken equipment, but that won't stop us from coming back! The best value in the area. "
