"Anyone looking at my review may think that I was lazy, just hitting five stars across the survey. Well, quite to the contrary! This is my second stay at La Lacandiera and as I will be 83 years old next year, good Lord willing, I will be back for a third year. Now, I get it that everyone has their own travel objectives and criteria! But for me, boots on the ground, real people experiences, and time smelling the flowers. I'm not a cruise ship kind of guy, so take that for what it's worth. Five stars 🌟 ✨️ 🌟"

"Great stay in Reggio Calabria!! Breakfast was outstanding!! Staff went far & beyond….. there were no parking spots out front when we arrived. Amazing gentleman at front desk moved his car so we could park! Even cleaning staff… young man was amazingly kind and engaging! Would recommend hotel 100 %!! We had Jr Suite sea view … room large, bed comfy and very clean!"

"Hotels.com sucks that provided the proper location number one. I drove around the area for 90 minutes before locals told me that the hotel was on the other side of Scilla. Staff at the hotel, very sweet and friendly, room, although old, very traditional Italian, very cosy very clean!! Bathroom also very clean, breakfast was fair staff very eager to help made individual coffees as requested. Beach is like 30 m away, just around the corner from the hotel. Locals are lovely A+ Scilla is the best little town if you want to experience authentic Italy if you want the run of the tourist trap, Tropea is an option. Although lovely it’s crawling with people like ants and.Scilla is truly what I think of when I think of Italy This hotel has a great location, safe quiet everything you want"

"It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel; it is very clean and well-organised. The breakfast was fantastic, all fresh products; one thing that really stood out to us was the honeycomb at the buffet, dripping with delicious fresh honey. All the staff; from the dining room to the reception were truly kind and friendly, especially Giovanni, Benedetto, Sonia and Chiara! We will definitely be back and highly recommend it, as we had such a wonderful experience."
