"Clean, carefully renovated, with respect to details, nice staff, sufficient choice for breakfast with some hot options too. Walking distance from train station and town attractions. Very good value for money. The only disappointment: coffee machine during breakfast was out of order"

"The hotel was clean and offered a very nice breakfast, even offering to provide wrapping if you want to make a lunch to take for later. It is also located near many restaurants. There is a dedicated parking area for the hotel with a few EV charging stations in the nearby parking garage, however parking spaces are tight and we arrived late in the evening and found only a couple spots remained."

"Great staff. But rooms are tiny. Bathroom is really small. Dinner buffet was not bad for the price. If I stay here again, I'll get a bigger room. But for price paid, will not recommend."

"We loved our stay at the Clarion Hotel Trondheim! It sits right on the harbor and was conveniently located near the Trondheim Central Station. Pros: - Trondheim is a very walkable city and the Clarion gave easy access to the downtown area through a few different routes. - It was less than a 10 minute walk (with 3 rolling bags) from the Central Station and then about a 10 minute walk to the Hurtigruten port. - Comfortable rooms: bed, refrigerator, air conditioning, and a little window that opened. - The breakfast buffet was the best that we experienced in all our hotel stays. It was pretty amazing. - Love, love, love that in all the hotels we stayed in in Norway we needed to put one of our key cards into a slot in our room to activate the electricity. Cons: None..... It was a great place to stay."

"Thon Hotel Selbusjøen is a rare , unique hotel, based a few meters away from the Selbu lake. The hotel surrounding are stunning hills , lake Selbu , filled with history , and its local people. The Thon Hotel Selbu style brings you back in 1890-1970 th. Very warm atmosphere , with a well decorated lounges , beautiful spacious dining area ,a bar. The staff , Ezra Tova, Diana,Dominica ,Monia welcomed me very warmly ,organised my Birthday Greeting , with Happy Birthday song , delicious cake, ,,variety of cheeses made by the local producers. The Selbu Blue cheese and the Goat cheese was very very delicious . The breakfast buffet was outstanding ! 5* level. I am sincerely greateful to the Chef who made all those delicious , foods: a variety of marinated vegetables, beetroots, cuccumbers, anions, leaks. I am a fish lover ;), so to get marinated hearings , salmon for breakfast , it was a heavenly breakfast for me . The variety of foods from the local producers, goat and blue cheese , pate, variety of cooked hams , fresh breads, selection of yogurts and jams. Oh ;), I MUST mention the hot food option : The potatoes with anions , and with a big chunks of baked pork belly . That was a super delicious option , yummy 😋 ❤️ I was staying for two nights . My room was clean , stylish , with big windows , with the lake view. I loved every minute spend at this hotel, it’s suitable for the solo travellers, families and for the big groups. It is located away from the busy city."

"The hotel is excellent for location however I would have chosen another one had I known that 2 floors of the hotel were being refurbished so we ended up in the attic rooms in the 6th floor noise could be heard in the breakfast room. The breakfast was excellent though great choice of buffet. One night in Trondheim is enough for sightseeing. Staff were very friendly."
