"Such a hidden gem that we are so delighted to have discovered. A really good example of French hospitality at its best. A warm welcome and beautiful decor really made our stay feel special. The modern take on traditional features give this place a unique feel. The food was just fantastic as was the chef producing it. We will definitely be back and recommending it to our friends and family. The rooms have everything you need and the bed was very comfortable. Close to shops and a petrol station is very useful. The local towns and villages are worth a visit. Bonneval 5 minutes away and Chateaudun 15 minutes away in particular. Great location for a stop of when heading to or from the south of France from the ports or tunnel in the north."

"If you like old, quaint and quirky then this is the place for you. The proximity to the Loire is unbeatable with beautiful views and walks along the riverside. The room we had (402) was huge but accessed by a very tight and steep staircase. An interesting style of furnishings but the bed was comfy with good linen. The bathroom was also spacious but some DIY to the fixings would help. The evening meal is served by restauranteurs who are not involved with the accommodation. The food was tasty and well prepared at a sensible price. Breakfast is plentiful if a little haphazard."

A little more attention to cleanliness around plug sockets would be nice. The hotel is very well located for the river and the town. Parking was adequate. I would certainly stay again."
