Lovely Place in A Beautiful Town

Lovely little home in a very pretty and quaint fjord town. The layout of the second floor unit was great for my family. It was comfortable, and the full-size kitchen was very useful.

Excess comfort, space & privacy

This was incredibly spacious. We were thankful to be able to take advantage of the washer and dryer. The blackout shades and beds made us perfectly comfortable. This is a charming town and excellent stay! Check-in was quite slow but that may have been because of the time of day.

Shower was very small (hard to turn around in). Would be great to have black-out window shades for sleeping. Needs more indoor lights (too dark during daytime in kitchen especially). For breakfast, would be great to have hot water thermos to self-serve, but food selection variety was great. Hotel has great location (natural views).

This property was very beautiful and the town was so charming. We had plenty of space for our group of four and were very comfortable. There were people staying above us, so we did hear them, but it didn’t bother us. I would highly recommend this space and gorgeous town during your Iceland adventures.

We needed a place with a washer and dryer mid-point of our 8-day trip around ring road. The facilities were great with laundry powder provided and the washer and dryer inside the apartment bathroom. However, we booked the lower floor (to save from carrying luggage upstairs) but that meant hearing every step the upstairs guests took. Heard them talking, too. And they were up past midnight. :( The town of Seydisfjordur is definitely worth the 20 minute drive over the mountain. It's a lovely little town. We would only stay here again on the top floor apartment but I think we would look for another place with a washer and dryer. The two bedroom apartment had only one bathroom and the shower stall was so small, and the laundry was in there, too. So if anyone was using the bathroom, laundry couldn't be done.

We loved staying at this charming “old school.” We we’re so happy to find in-house laundry for our soaked clothes. The beds were so cozy and warm. We even opened the antique upper windows for fresh air over night. The shower is tiny for 6’ tall men but this has been the case throughout our travel here. We could not be happier with our stay.

We booked the two bedroom apartment and were very glad that we did. We did lots of laundry and were able to thoroughly clean all of our water bottles and other dishes we had used along the way. Having bedrooms at opposite ends of the apartment ensured a quiet, uninterrupted sleep. Beds were very comfy.

Superb apartment

We stayed in an apartment in the Old School. It was very spacious, comfortable, and even elegant. Although it was not inexpensive, the well-equipped kitchen, large living room and 2 bedrooms made it a good value.

The hotel was clean and quiet in a lovely fjord setting. The dinner at the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was a little sparse but they made a very good latte. Overall a very nice experience.

Comfy stay in a converted school

Charming little town and this is a matching house to stay in. I stayed in the downstairs suite of the old school. Lots of room and it was comfy and clean. Laundry facilities are a perk! You can hear the people upstairs walking around and such, so if you are a light sleeper you may want ear plugs. The light was burned out in one of The rooms, but otherwise things were in good shape. I didn’t use the kitchen, but it seemed like it would have everything you need. Close to restaurants and local photo ops.
