조용한 주거구역에 위치해서 참 편안히 쉴 수 있ㅇ었어요. 다른 중국호텔보다는 훨씬 영어로 소통이 원활했습니다

The shower is stained and so does the ceiling of the bathroom. It seems like there is some water leakage problem.

Unique Shanghainese hotel

A very unique 1920-30’s styled Shanghainese hotel. Lots of antiques of the era. Fantastic room served breakfast in the morning.

Unfortunately, the bed sheet didn’t change in frost day check in, dirty feeling bad , not worth to try !

五年前住過。很明顯管理團隊換人了。設施老舊，椅子會搖晃。以前這麼有風情的一家旅館，現在連基本的早飯都吃得不好。太失望了。隔壁一對外國夫婦，跟前台溝通了好久也說不出所以然。絕對不會再次入住。同等價格更便宜的還能更好。上海是個競爭的城市。希望你們加油趕上他的腳步。

服務非常一般！網路連線不是太好，經常容易掉線！有一天我坐在房內看书，忘了鎖門，服務員竟然門也不敲！推門而入！

Lovely property deserves better staff & upkeep.

The property has many contrasts: Reception is a cluttered office, but bar has classic, English club feel. That being said, staff had to go multiple places to find a bar menu????? One member of the staff was a young Spaniard, who spoke good English and was charming. The Chinese staff ranged from sweet to disinterested and NONE of them were anywhere close to fluent in English. This was a real issue when trying to get tourist help and when settling the bill. Bathroom had claw foot tub AND big walk-in shower. But tiles were falling off the shower walls and black mold was growing around the perimeter.

滿意的住宿經驗

紳公館位於安靜的法租界，是一間很優雅的旅館。雖然離地鐵站有點距離，但附近打車很方便，走出飯店的小巷就是大馬路。附近也非常適合散步。這次是入住基本房型，不過，睡房和起居室是分開的。非常喜歡他們的浴室，法式獨立浴缸，兩個洗手槽，還有一個大的shower room。旅館本身是非常有歷史的建築，是木質地板，睡眠品質差的人，可能要考慮一下。不過，公共區域和房間都非常乾淨。

Amazing Rooms in a Quiet Neighborhood

This is a fabulous hotel but I can see how it isn't for everyone. Pro: Maybe best room I've stayed in. It would be tied with a suite at the Ritz or the Mandarin. Beautiful large room. Well designed with lots of details. It is supposed to have a colonial Shanghai feel. Very well done and rooms that are comfortable spacious and beautiful. Con: It is in a quiet neighborhood and there is no on site restaurant. There are very good restaurants in very short walking distance. However, if you are looking for that all in one location that is right in the heart of the Bund or Huangpu then this might not be the place for you. It is only short taxi ride to downtown Shanghai like IFC and Century Avenue but something to be aware of.

The hotel was nice and the location was great. A bit hard to find though. Staff in general could have been more attentive, sometimes it was hard to find someone around or at the reception. Our room was not clean properly. Dust bins were not emptied daily and we had to ask for coffee sachets every day. Only one English channel available on TV

Un boutique hotel dans le vieux Shanghai

Enfin un vrai boutique hotel à Shanghai, appartenant à la chaîne Relais et Chateaux. Le bâtiment ancien, la rénovation de qualité, le confort sont de premier ordre. Il manque un rien pour que ce soit parfait: un directeur qui soit vraiment un hôte, une personnalisation du service, un petit déjeuner de qualité vraiment supérieure.

Unacceptable service & facilities

There was no other guest during the check in time and we waited for a long time around 30mins. Reception and other hotel staff saw few guests arrived, they served them first (we came 10mins than them) and we could only wait again. After check in, staff didn't mention anything eg facilities, check out time, etc. just pass us the key and said it was which floor. When we got inside, the room was big and clean, that's the only thing we were satisfied. For the second day before check out and prepared to have shower and brush teeth, we found out that the shower was not function well, sometimes no water and sometimes got a lot of water came out loudly. We asked reception to give us 1 more hour to check out but she only gave us 30mins. After the technician came and fixed the issue, it took 30mins. One more important thing, the water was yellowish and got some substances inside even shower & sink area. Technical said still can use and hotel staff said they just washed the water tank in the morning. I took the video + pictures and can share with everybody or maybe YouTube later on. It's an unpleasant experience. I don't think who can accept for those quality of water, bad service, facility there. Finally we check out at 12.45pm without shower, wash face, brush teeth as the staff insisted that the water could use. Luckily we just stayed for one night there. It was not worth for 5 star price for such services and facilities. The location was inside a small path, took time to find.

The Sun Shines at Le Sun Chine (even in the rain)

What a wonderful place. The hotel is really beautiful. The morning staff was very attentive. I arrived late and the late night staff was a bit laid back and less fluent in English. However, I am in China - but I believe this hotel does cater to Western visitors. A beautiful property, well maintained, wonderful breakfast (I had the Chinese dim sum choice). They were very kind to heat the pool for me - though I suspect 12 hours was not enough. Probably needs a full day to even out - it was still quite cold. The fact they were willing to do that for me went a long way. The morning staff was very kind and helpful, and eager to assist. The bar area is nice, but does allow smoking. I also could smell smoke in my room coming from below despite being non-smoking, though this is quite common in China. Overall, a wonderful hotel that needs to tighten up policy and service just a bit. The neighborhood is good, not too far a walk to the metro station, and the hotel will call a taxi (ten minute suggested lead time).

Not up to Relais & Chateau standards.

This is an interesting old hotel that has been kept in good but not pristine shape. The staff are accommodating but often do not understand English well enough. Most disappointing is absence of good food options. The room service breakfast and any other meal service (only room service offered)(other dining is formal for large groups) is of poor quality and served in ways that differ from meal to meal...no salt and pepper, one order when two are asked for, no napkins, no pick-up. Location is out of way if you are looking for easy access to tourist spots...hard to get taxi from hotel.
