"Very disappointing stay at Sofitel The Palm Dubai. We arrived at 4 PM and our room was still not ready despite the advertised 3 PM check in, only gaining access around 4:30 PM. After that, it took over an hour to set up the sofa bed despite informing staff that our children were exhausted and needed to rest. The biggest frustration was the valet service. "Upon arrival we noticed the carpets had not been vacuumed, both at the door and the carpet in the room as there was food and a clump of hair on the rug. The hotel rectified this and sent someone to vacuum the room. 4 hours later they offered to upgrade our room and give us a late checkout. We declined on the room upgrade because we had a baby and were settled in at this stage but the manager said he would speak with us upon check out. This never happened which was disappointing.
