Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
very small room even though it was in theory the "deluxe" king.
It was a beautiful place! Under construction however, Beth was Amazing! Amelia was so hospitable. Close to everything and it certainly helped that the weather was spectacular! Will definitely go back another time!
Downgraded to a tiny room with no comfortable chairs. Poor air conditioning unit that barely kept room at comfortable temp
Terrible bed, uncomfortable mattress, although queen sized not made for two, not shock absorbent
Attention to detail is amazing at this property. Beth goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. I can' say enough about the service and hospitality my sister and I received! Thank you SEVEN!
Extraordinary place! Beautiful details. It was one the best stays ever and I’m a world traveler. Breakfast was delicious! Very comfortable beds and super accommodating to me and my kids offering an extra room for small cost. Stay here and you won’t be sorry!
The place was amazing! Clean and very comfortable. The owner is so sweet and made the stay even better. Would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to stay on shelter island.
Our stay at SEVEN was hands down the best B&B experience my partner and I have ever had, thanks in no small part to its extraordinary host, Beth. We rented during low season around Christmastime to get away from NYC and couldn't have been happier with our decision. Beth kindly picked us up from the ferry landing in her car and gave us a quick tour of the island before taking us to the inn, where we were promptly pampered and spoiled.
When you first walk in the door, you are greeted by her sweet weimaraner, Evie. Beth is an art collector and you'll note many gorgeous pieces hanging on the walls. There are rooms on the first and second floors and they are all newly-renovated and beautifully-appointed with luxurious and comfortable beds. Everything is immaculately clean with not one speck of dust in sight. The bathrooms are stocked with fine soaps and have every amenity promised and more.
Every day for breakfast, Beth spared no expense providing a gourmet spread of steel cut oats, Greek yogurt, French croissants, homemade quiche, Manchego cheese, local brie, fresh fruit and juices, three different kinds of coffee, tea -- you name it. After breakfast, we would pour ourselves a second cup of coffee and sit outside on the porch, reading our books and soaking in the idyllic view.
What impressed me the most about SEVEN is Beth's superb and meticulous attention to detail. She knew that we wanted to visit the local wineries and she helped us plan the excursion, providing us with a m
I went to Seven for a mental break for two nights and came back totally refreshed. Beth was so welcoming and made me feel like an old friend staying in her home. She gave me advice on the island and where the best walks and beaches were. The breakfast in the morning was a very relaxed affair with delicious fresh, healthy food..... steel cut oatmeal, breads, cheese, fruit, muffins, boiled eggs........I can't wait to return for another break and highly recommend this jewel on Shelter Island.
My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Seven on Shelter Island. The room was clean and soothing and the staff was absolutely wonderful. There was plenty to do on Shelter Island even though we went during the off season. Highly recommend staying at Seven if you're visiting the area
Seven is welcoming like a home, but spacious enough to give everyone privacy. Rooms are super up to date, extremely clean and cheery! Overall a great experience - orange juice at breakfast is amazing!
Upscale B & B with great rooms and amenities located close to beach and everything on this upscale Island between the Hamptons and the North Fork of Long Island. Friendly, helpful staff who served a nice, "expanded" Continental breakfast in very modern, new, and clean surroundings.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We have been to shelter island and yet it was seen in this trip with a whole new light. They told us so much about the island and where to go and what to do and see things we missed because no one guided us like they did. They truly have a love for the island and a love for the people that say w them.
My husband and I visited for Christmas weekend, and had a blast. Beth, the host, and Kristina were welcoming and warm. They gave us great recommendations for activities and restaurants.
The accommodations: Updated, new and modern, extremely clean and well-decorated. Great art collection. Bathrooms, same as the sleeping area. Beautifully renovated rooms.
Common areas: Large dining room table seats plenty, but is still cozy. Plenty of reading material, and the walls are covered in really interesting modern art. There is a sitting/reading area with a nice chess set (that my husband and I used). The resident dog, Evie, is the sweetest, most loveable and affectionate dog. For dog-lovers, like me, it's a major plus. For those that aren't that into dogs, she is not one of those types of dogs that hangs on you, or jumps, she is very well-behaved and calm.
Kitchen: The breakfast buffet was really well-made, we had homemade quiche every morning, (very) fresh berries, gourmet cheeses, freshly squeezed OJ. Great selection of K-cup coffees and teas, cold drinks (seltzer, soda, juices). The spread was perfect.
Overall, my husband and I had a really beautiful and warm stay. We are definitely going to revisit during the summer for my birthday - really looking forward to it!
