"On our recent trip to Japan we wanted an authentic experience staying in a ryokan. We were greeted by an extremely attentive staff who whisked our luggage away to our mountain view room. We received hotel slippers and were given a tour of the hotel. Our modest room had a low table and chairs with a tea service, a private bathroom, tatami mat floor and yukata robes. We had 3 hours until dinner so we enjoyed the private onsen nestled in the forest overlooking the forest. For ¥4000 ($27) this...

"Ich wollte unbedingt einmal in einem Ryokan übernachten und habe mich deshalb für diese Unterkunft entschieden. die Unterkunft an sich ist sehr schön. Die Nacht war dann doch etwas anstrengend auf dem Futon. Später hab ich mir aber einen zweiten aus dem Schrank darunter gelegt. Die Gegend würde ich als sehr ruhig beschreiben. Man muss mindestens einmal Bus und Zug fahren, um direkt nach Kyoto zu kommen. Aber dennoch kann ich sagen, ein Aufenthalt in diesem Ryokan lohnt sich durchaus."

"This is a lovely property for couples or families, walkable to anything you’d need. 7-11 and family mart, key bus routes and the major attractions of Gion. The half board is a great experience although westerners will struggle with breakfast. The staff was fantastic. "
