"My wife and I wanted to “slow travel” for a few days and found this place on VRBO. It’s a 100-yr old traditional coastal home. It is directly across the road (there is a convenient tunnel under the road) from Zaimokuza and Yuigahama beaches and there is a bus stop right outside the door for a 15 min ride to/from Kamakura Station. The #40 bus is reliable and easy. Don’t bother with a taxi. It is also a 15-min walk to the Enoden train, which follows the coastline and goes to Hase and Enoshima...

"The staff are excellent. 👌 Very helpful, inviting, and understanding. Great amenities, a great selection of tea, and a great coffee/ hot chocolate machine. The cleaning staff do a great job and leave you a bottle of water every second day. Location is great because it's a five or ten minute walk to Fujisawa station. Plenty of places to eat nearby and also convenience stores. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely love to stay here again. 🙂👍👍"

"Akitaya is always a great stay. I’ve stayed here both times I’ve been to Kamakura and I plan to stay here again when I return! The rooms are a traditional Japanese style which I think everyone should experience! The hotel is conveniently placed next to Koshigoe station which makes it really easy to get around. They even give you free tea in the room! The staff are always super friendly and even did my laundry for me. I definitely recommend this place!"

"Very clean hotel. Reasonable size of the room. Free coffee, tea, happy hour for those keen on beer. We enjoyed breakfast as well for only 1400 yen per person which was served as buffet. Close to 7/11, ATM , train station and restaurants. "

"Das Zimmer war sauber und schön. Man konnte das lokale Onsen mitbenutzen (ca. 100-200m entfernt) mit Pool und Onsen Part. Unglaublich toll um bei der Reise zu entspannen, Yukata und Handtücher werden gestellt. Aber auch das Zimmerbad war modern und schön!"
