"Very convenient transport wise and good location altogether, walking distance from the centre of the city and plenty of good restaurants, eateries, cafes and supermarkets all around. The room was clean and spacious, with good storage space, the bathroom not too small and everything clean. Reception is manned 24 hours so you can come and go anytime, staff are friendly and helpful, good wi fi."

"I suppose the kindest thing to say is that The Monkey Room is a "work in progress". The hotel/hostal is right in the centre of Marbella Old Town and although it sets out in adverts to be "chic" and "cool" it has a long way to go. While I was there a workman was on site preparing another cubby hole as a bedroom and I think my room was only half-finished. The nights were cold and only a single sheet covered the bed and, after moving my room to the one in the photo (instead of on the roof) I found...

"Manager of the hotel is an absolute crook. Booked a room for 2 people, they only had a room for 1- manager refuses to acknowledge any fault or refund the difference in price. On top of that rooms are extremely musty. "

"Lovely place to stay. Staff took care of guests well. I only had one breakfast (and one take out) during my stay but they kept offering options for the rest of days I couldn't make breakfast. Open facade in the middle of the building is welcoming/charming. Wednesday course dinner was great. Quiet and accessible neighborhood. Would love to come back."
