"A unique and very Scandinavian experience. I felt genuinely welcomed and even if only very briefly, a part of the community here. Cosy wooden cabins (hyttes) in the grounds of the local community hall, which seems to be a hub of this community. A lovely counter to big hotels and beautifully maintained and cared for. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are in the community hall, 50 metres away, so it’s more like glamping than an hotel stay, but if you don’t mind that it’s wonderful. A great budget option and a million times better than your typical ‘budget hotel’ chains, for less than half the price."

"Coming from the US, this is a very basic hotel. No A/C in the room (slept with windows open), no handcloth, no soap/shampoo for shower, only way to buy snacks/drinks is with "MobilePay" which a person traveling from the US cannot get (must have Denmark bank account, social security #, etc). We had no issue of getting into motel through a password/keypad and our room. There is a shared kitchen which was nice. Knowing the above in advance, would have been greatly appreciated so I could plan accordingly."

"Lovely cottages in the resort and closed to the beach on the lake. Easy self check-in and easy to find. Only thing that wasn't clear was that we had to pre-book our breakfast the day before (before a certain time), so no breakfast for us in the morning. Other than that, it's a lovely place to stay."
