"Wonderful staff and restaurant. Out in the middle of nowhere. Bathrooms are very sparse. Wasn't able to see the northern lights becasue the weather was snowy and overcast. "

"Nice room with a view of the harbour. Very close to local restaurants. Lovely staff and also a chapel attached to the hotel. The breakfasts were also good."

"You can't beat the location - perfectly situated allowing direct access to walk the cliff tops and view the beauty of the Icelandic coast below and a good point to split the trip if seeing the West end. The room was nice enough and the huge window facing the sea was nice but it would be have been better if the adjoining restaurant shut off their rear exterior lights so you could appreciate the view at night. The restaurant experience wasn't great - found the staff cold and the food bland but options are limited out there. Overall the hotel was a good place and recommended."

"I would give it 5 stars but the beds are pretty hard and the shower is tiny. Despite that, we had an amazing stay! We saw the northern lights so perfectly from here. The staff are very kind and helpful. "

"We checked in a day early after an abysmal experience at our previous hotel - and we’re glad we did! Beautiful location, comfortable beds, spotless room, exceptional staff, and amazing breakfasts and dinners. This was a truly memorable place. "

"Room was in a decent condition but not exactly comfortable. The couch in the room was little disgusting to sit on. I have stayed in the property 6 or 7 years ago and was in better shape at that time."

"This is a great place to stay if you are looking to be away from city lights so you can try to see the Northern Lights. We were fortunate they were visible on our night here and it was a highlight of our trip. The staff is friendly, but they are not available at all times. Our shower was stopped up, but there is no staff late at night so we had to wait until morning for it to be fixed. They took care of it right away then, so it's just a matter of expectations. Overall, I would stay here again."
