"Awesome Stay In Beautiful Aspen For A Work Trip. Awesome Staff And And Nice Heated Pool To Wind Down After Work. Or For All The People On The Mountian."
Comfort Inn & Suites Carbondale on the Roaring Fork
4/10 Poor
"We stayed here due to a Lacrosse tournament being nearby, which is why I imagine most guests were there this weekend as well. We were charged over $200 a night and this property is so tired and gross. The rooms were dirty, bathroom was filthy and hadn't been deep cleaned or really cleaned in a long time. Mold growing in the shower and we had several spider bites along with finding a spider in the shower. The air conditioner sputtered in and out of working, sheets did not fit on the bed and kept coming off, floor was filthy. I would not recommend, even for the convenience of being close to the venue. "
"Place is cute in a great location. The shower floors are slimy and need a good scrubbing. Stayed several weeks so started taking our own cleaner and scrubber to clean the shower floor before using. Overall whole place could use a good deep clean but is okay.
The require a physical card only to run even with special instructions and permissions added on Expedia. We booked all of our travel on one card and every other hotel ran that card to our presence whether it was physically present or not. I usually keep the card and my husband travels. Basalt Mountain Inn won’t accommodate our special request in that regard but we worked out another solution. "
"We went during off season period when the hotel was practically empty. They gave us one of the worst rooms over the garage where you literally hear the grinding door open each time any guest arrives at all hours of the day or night and wakes you up. The refrigerator was stacked with a heavy safe on top, and then a microwave on top of that - so you can't even open the refrigerator door. Who does that? Even 3rd world countries have better amenities. The lounge has the WORST chairs that are ALL ragged and you don't even want to sit on them. The pool has tiles falling apart where I scratched my back getting into the pool. This property is a hazard and I am not even sure why its open. They say they are remodeling ... yet they make your stay miserable. It is one THE worst hotels I have ever stayed. The managers John and Kayle are not suitable front office staff. They refused to give me a printed receipt for incidentals to make sure they did not charge me even though they charged my credit card. They told me to talk to Expedia. Horrendous courtesy for guests. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. "
