"It had a great location and the room was bright and airy. The room had a queen bed and pull out sofa. Bathroom had all new fixtures. The porch was great for relaxing on and there were sitting spots on the lawn area.."
"Stayed here for a beach weekend and had a good experience overall! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the AC earned its paycheck because it kept the room nice and chilly after a day in the sun.
A couple little things kept it from being a full five stars. We ended up with two towels that had clearly missed quality control. One had a bundle of hair wrapped up in it (😬), and another had what looked like a dirt stain. Not the end of the world, but definitely not what you hope to unwrap after a shower.
The parking situation was a bit of a free-for-all since spaces aren’t assigned, and there wasn’t much organization to it. We also noticed the room didn’t include conditioner or body lotion. It’s a small touch, but one this guest definitely would have appreciated after a salty beach day.
We didn’t get to try the pool, market, or food truck, but they all looked cute and well maintained.
Overall, we’d stay here again. Great location, comfortable room, and just a few small details that could turn a good stay into a great one."
"I liked the fridge because my beverages were chilled all night. The staff treated everyone with kindness. The rooms were so clean and air conditioned. I did have to warm up with a hoodie."
"For those looking to be in the center of the Old Port district, the Regency couldn't be better situated. Portland is a walkable city, and the hotel is in an ideal spot. My (standard) room wasn't spacious, but it was clean and attractive. I would recommend to the management that they find a chair that's comfortable for reading, TV, relaxing - mine was unusually uncomfortable. There should also be a small table/desk for one's things, laptop, etc.
The hotel's breakfast was superb - a handsome room, wonderful food, and very good service. I only had breakfast "out" one day out of four!
Other staff varied in their helpfulness - I didn't get many recommendations from the front desk for guided tours or good restaurants, but they were amiable and efficient.
Overall a good experience, but the room could use some more comfortable touches."
